Herbal Humpbacks

I love lace and whales and hearts and tea cups (this is painted from a real teacup that I own!) and this is really just a snapshot of simple little things that make me happy, while also expressing a bigger message that I like to include in most of my art of loving and better co-existing with the ocean creatures that we share this life with.

This was an incredible labour of love and an idea that I’ve been holding on to for about 4 years. I pushed myself SO hard with this one and I’m especially proud to have finally brought it to life.

This painting was an idea in my head for a long time, but was finally created for the “Bliss” show at Northern Contemporary Gallery in Toronto, Aug 2024. I hope that it puts a smile on people’s faces, especially those who find bliss (like me) in warm beverage!
